My cat is vomiting and has diarrhea but acts normal. Vet now?

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | 2 months and 23 days old

My cat vomited once yesterday then she vomited again today , but she also has diarrhea today, and the vomit was her food but she's acting normal and she is eating and playing, should i take her to the vet or can i wait till 4/6 because we already have an appointment that day in the vet?

You can wait until 4 pm today since she is acting normal. If that changes or something else occurs before then, then I would recommend going to the veterinarian earlier. I would also bring a stool sample with you to the vet when you go.

Molly might have eaten something spoiled that is causing this. withhold food for 12 hours then offer her boiled boneless chicken and rice every 6 hours in small portions. if she is eating and not vomiting, continue with this diet for 2 days. After 2 days, you can put her back gradually on her normal food. If she continues vomiting or is not eating, take her to the vet to get treatment.

Penelope might have eaten something spoiled that is causing this. withhold food for 12 hours then offer her boiled boneless chicken and rice every 6 hours in small portions. if she is eating and not vomiting, continue with this diet for 2 days. After 2 days, you can put her back gradually on her normal food.

If she continues vomiting or if the diarrhea does not resolve , take her to the vet to get treatment.

I would recommend having her re-examined and do further diagnostics like X-rays and blood work to determine why. If she is still eating and drinking and energetic, you could wait until Tuesday. Why is my cat vomiting diarrhea-like liquid for 2 days but acting normal?

I would recommend switching to a different food such as a hydrolyzed protein diet and feed this for the next 4 weeks to see if this makes a difference. I would also add in a probiotic such as Purina Fortiflora, which can be found online or at your local pet store. If the vomiting persists or worsens, I would recommend having a veterinarian examine her so that the most appropriate diagnostic and treatment recommendations can be made. My cat threw up after acting strange. Seems better, should I worry?

Time will tell with this one. Since she's eating, drinking, and not lethargic, you certainly don't need to seek emergency care tonight. If tomorrow she still seems out of sorts, or continues to vomit, I would recommend scheduling a vet appointment for exam and x-rays of her abdomen. If he is otherwise acting normal then you likely can wait to take him to your regular vet next week. Besides feeding him pumpkin, you could also add a probiotic to his diet. Proviable is a good probiotic that you could try. If he starts vomiting, stops eating, or becomes lethargic then you should take him to the emergency clinic.

There are many conditions that can result in vomiting and diarrhea and they go from dietary indiscretion which may resolve on its own to systemic diseases such as inflammatory bowel disease or pancreatitis, among others. I recommend that you have Sammie evaluated by your veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. At the very least they can check his hydration status and give him medications to make him feel better. Good luck and have a nice day!

My cat has diarrhea but is active and eating. Should I call the vet?

I would recommend you take your cat to the vet on Monday. They can do a fecal examination to rule out intestinal parasites and possibly an X-ray to rule out a blockage/foreign body. Your vet can also give you some medication to help stop the diarrhea. If the diarrhea becomes bloody and/or your cat starts vomiting as well then I would recommend getting him in to an ER vet to make sure nothing too serious is going on.
