Why does my house still smell like cat pee after I clean everything?

An enzymatic cleaner such as Nature's Miracle is the best for removing urine. It works by breaking down the actual urine particles to help remove smell and reduce staining. You can then use another cleaner as needed. Be sure to test any spots first with the enzymatic cleaner to make sure it doesn't harm what you are cleaning. Clothing and other loose fabrics can also be washed.

She may be urinating outside the litter box if she has an infection or bladder stones. I would have your vet take a look at her. Your vet will be able to do a urinalysis to ensure everything is ok. They will be able to start her on antibiotics if needed. If everything is normal, then I would be more concerned with behavioral. I would definitely get of the drapes. As far as cleaning, I would try to use a deodorizer to help hide her scent. See link below. Clean the wall area the best you can. Unfortunately, you may not be able to get deep into those cracks. You can try q-tips although this may be a little tedious. If all four of your cats are definitely urinating on the carpet it is probably a behavioral issue, however occasionally one cat will have a medical issue like cystitis (a very common bladder disease in cats) and that cat's inappropriate urination will cause other cats to urinate in the same spot. I would recommend monitoring the cats in the litter box as much as possible to make sure no cat seems to be straining to urinate or going more frequently. The faint smell of urine may be from her fur. Sometimes as cats move through their litter, they can pick up the scent of urine. Make sure Ariel's box is clean with a deep layer of fresh kitty litter. This will prevent her from picking up odors. Also, make sure her behind is not wet from urine soaking into her fur. This twitching and peeing behavior sounds like your cat is spraying. This can be a behavioral thing. I would recommend a different type of litterbox with a front door so that she doesn't miss and potentially get urine on the floor. As long as she is trying to go in the litterbox you can try to see if a change in litterbox will suffice.
