Why is my spayed cat suddenly unable to move, bleeding, stomach hard?

Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Longhair | Female | spayed

My cat cannot move her back legs, her stomach is very hard ans is bleeding from her private area. Also she has gotten spayed a couple weeks ago.

This is a serious emergency. She may have been hit by a car. You will need to take her to your vet right now, please. The vet will take xrays to find out whether her hip is intact, and her spinal cord. A hard stomach is a sign of severe pain either in the abdomen or spinal or hip area. Please take her now. She is likely in serious pain.

I would strongly recommend taking Hope to the veterinarian. It seems as if her abdomen is hard and painful. This could be related to a urinary bladder issue constipation or G.I. disease, or some other disorder or disease causing fluid buildup in her abdomen. The veterinarian will perform a physical exam and based on those finding spray recommend further diagnostic testing such as blood work, x-ray, or ultrasound. Good luck I hope she feels better soon

That sounds very odd. I would recommend getting her to the vet in the next day or two (sooner if she's not eating, is lethargic, or otherwise seems ill). It's way too late for this to be related to the spay, she would have been fully healed after 10-14 days, but it's certainly not normal.

My spayed cat's tummy is swollen and bleeding. Is it urgent?

Mabel is such a cute kitty!! A small amount of bruising around the incision can be normal, but swelling can indicate a possible breakdown in the stitches holding the muscle together and should be checked out sooner rather than later, especially if Mabel seems painful. If the sutures Di breakdown it is possible for intestines to then become trapped beneath the skin and this can be very serious. I would recommend placing an ecollar on Mabel and confining her to a kennel or large box until you are able to have her seen. Excessive activity following surgery is not recommended and can exacerbate any complications that may develop. I hope Mabel feels better soon!

Hi there. It is common for females that are spayed to gain extra fat in their abdominal region. If the belly is very hard or she seems uncomfortable I would take her in. Otherwise just remember she doesn't have the extra hormone production she used to-changes are normal. Hope this helps

My cat is vomiting, bleeding from anus, and weak. Is it an emergency?

Vuk, your kitty needs to be taken to a veterinarian right away. This is an emergency. It is possible that lary was hit by a car, especially if there is fresh blood from the anus. Please find a veterinarian tonight, (even a large animal vet will help) to give fluids, take pain and give at least supportive treatment or euthanize your cat if she is very badly hurt. I am so sorry your cat is so ill.

My unspayed cat has discharge, tight stomach, lump. What's wrong?

That discharge is very abnormal. My guess is that she may have a pyometra (uterine infection). I suggest you get her to a vet as soon as you can. If you are not near an emergency vet she can likely wait until morning as long as she is eating and drinking OK. If she is acting sick then you need to find an emergency vet right now. This is not something you can treat at home. Best wishes.

You should take your kitty to a vet as soon as possible after the accident for an exam as she could have internal bleeding, a ruptured bladder and also broken bones. The fact that she is hiding and only walking slowly is a sign that she is in pain and got injured in the accident. What we perceive as a gentle bump is quite a hard hit for a cat. Please take Mice to a vet ASAP.
