If it was two months ago, Lily will need to start the vaccine schedule again. She will need a round of vaccines now, and then another in 4 weeks to be fully vaccinated. Hi, Vaccination as an adult cat who is not strictly indoors is annually so if she had her shots in Sep she is covered till Sep 2019 . Deworming is recommended every 3 months so she may be due that by now from her vet. And anti flea treatment is also recommended routinely, the frequency of application depends on the product used. This will depend on the vaccine and the age at which the vaccines are given. If your kitten starts at 4 months with vaccinations, then 2 courses are sufficient as he will be able to make antibodies without any problems. If you start vaccinating at a very young age, ie at 6 weeks, then that first vaccination may be destroyed by maternal antibodies and therefore the kitten would need two more courses of vaccine. So, two courses are fine, in your case. Trust your vets who are familiar with the local situation.

Vaccine protocols are all dependent upon the age they start. The last set needs to be given after 4 months of age. So if she received a set previously and a booster after 4 months, she is considered up to date and protected. If she was started at 9 weeks, then they will be repeated every 4 weeks until 4 months of age, therefore getting more sets

Most vets do not recommend doing the vaccines for the first time and surgery in the same visit, but a few days in between is usually sufficient. To be considered fully vaccinated, she will need at least a rabies vaccine, FRCP vaccine, and I recommend an FeLV vaccine for outdoor cats. These are all potentially deadly or extremely common viruses that cats can get from each other or wildlife such as raccoons. Although your cat is indoor only, there is a risk that she may run away and be exposed. I recommend having her microchipped and wear a collar in case this happens so that the two of you can be reunited. She should also be on monthly flea control, even f she is only indoors to prevent flea infestations.

The main vaccination(s) they need are: 1) FVRCP- a combo upper respiratory vaccine. 2) And if they go outdoors they should get the FeLV (leukemia) vaccination, which is an infection that is spread through drinking water. 3) Then of course the Rabies vaccine, if it is required in your state. The FVRCP and Rabies vaccine can be given once a year for the first year, then once every 3 years. The FeLV vaccine is given yearly.
