My cat twitches, sensitive after bandage removal. Is he in pain?

Pet's info: Cat | Bengal | Male | neutered | 6 months and 6 days old

My cat had stitches in his foot a few days ago we took off his bandages yesterday as adviced but tyis morning he is twitching all over and sensitive to touch also his tail is anoying him do you think it could be because he is in pain

Thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! It does sound like Gizmo is a bit uncomfortable. I’m not sure the extent of his wounds, but there may be some tingling associated with nerve damage or pain if the area was infected. You should not give Gizmo any human pain medication as it may be toxic, and keep a close eye on him for several hours. If the behavior continues, I recommend letting the vet who placed the stitches and bandage know, as additional wound management may be needed.
