How can I treat my cat and keep them entertained and enriched?

Some cats are happy with companionship and aren't interested in play. I’ve had luck with using a laser pointer to see if he’ll chase it. You can also try putting treats on a cat tree to get him to climb up and be active. You can also train cats to come when called, beg, sit, shake etc just like a dog. This is done with treats and praise as rewards and takes lots of time. The training should be fun for you both and is good bonding and quality time together. Hello, thank you for your question about Bijou. It sounds like you are doing a great job of providing enrichment for her. Having access to toys and the chance to look out the window are some of the best ways to entertain cats. You could try providing her with a cat tower so that she has a place to climb/hide if she would like. Cats often will only utilize these things occasionally, if at all. If Bijou is bored or needs something to do she will use them! Hope this helps!

I would try a laser pointer, toy that is along stick with a feather on the end and when you give him treats throw them so he has to chase them. Cats do normally sleep a lot. Doing so will help to decrease the potential development for destructive or inappropriate behaviors, such as inappropriate scratching, aggressiveness, inappropriate litterbox habits. Boxer is a cute name for a cat! Some kitties could play with a crumpled piece of paper for hours while others need more interaction or a more complicated toy to be entertained. You might try using the toys to interact with her by throwing them downstairs or into an area where she has to hunt for them to increase her interest in them. Catnip can also be sprinkled on her toys to give her added enrichment.

If you are finding that Toorko is bored or laying around a lot, I would encourage more toy play and more interactive toys. Cats are predators and enjoy hunting things. Toys that encourage this behavior can be good for stimulation. Interactive devices such as the PetCube can help with this. I hope this helps! Hi there and thanks for posting! Yes, there are many ways to bond with your cat. Playing with your cat with fun interactive toys frequently is one of the easiest ways. Some cats love the little laser pointers you can get at an office supply store and they will dart back and forth wherever you point the laser (just make sure not to point it directly at them). Feeding your cat regularly and making sure they have a safe cozy area to retreat to when they need some alone time will ensure trust. Rewarding them for good behavior and petting them and/or snuggling with them frequently are great ways to bond as well.
