Accidentally put too much ear medicine in my cat's ear. Is she okay?

Most likely this won't hurt her because there is very limited absorption to the system from medications applied into the ear. Just wipe out the excess with a cotton ball or paper towel and flush the eyes with sterile eye wash if you suspect any could have gotten in there. She should be fine.

Do not worry, nothing bad will happen, basically what it states is that she needs at least 4 drops for it to be effective, putting in more will not harm her but the bottle might finish sooner than expected because of that.

Use enough to fill the ear canal. Gently massage the base of the ear, then let her shake her head. You may want to do this outdoors in a secure area or in the tub. Use a cotton ball to dry the outer ear. Do not insert anything into her ear canal. Hi there. Poor Chloe! Even adult cats with a high ear mite load often respond similarly-there is intense itch with the mite die off as well as the ear itself often have some open wounds from them-the medication will burn. If Chloe is having any true neurological signs like seizures, intense shaking, strange looking pupils, etc-best to get her to an emergency room right away for treatment. No worries. If you gave this medication 6 hrs ahead of schedule, it is not going to cause any toxicity concerns whatsoever. You can presume her medication tomorrow morning since you already gave her two doses today, just one was a little earlier than recommended. Hello, thank you for using PetCoach. The ear, honestly, to me does not look that bad from the photo. Of course I cannot see down into the ear canal or the ear drum without examining her in person with an otoscope so there may be something down there causing the issue. There is no way for me to tell from a photo. If she is really scratching at the ear or starts to scratch it when you touch the ear then chances are she has ear mites. People often mistake an ear mite issue with a bacterial/fungal infection but the treatments are very different. Ear mites are very common in kittens. ( https://vcahospitals.com/know-your-pet/ear-mites-otodectes-in-cats-and-dogs ) The best treatment for ear mites is Revolution topical solution that you would put on like a flea/tick drops on the back of the neck. DO NOT put it in the ear. Typically two doses 3-4 weeks apart is enough to kill all the mites and correct the issues. I would try that before attempting to put medication inside the ear canal at this point. You will need to purchase it from a local vet. Over the counter "ear mite treatments" do not work.
