Why is my cat still throwing up after vet treatment and eating?

I would talk to your vet about submitting a GI panel or performing biopsies. Even with normal ultrasounds, IBD or lymphoma may not be able to be diagnosed. Empirical deworming may be indicated. Steroid trials may help. Has the thyroid level been checked? There is so much more information we need to be able to help you in this complicated case. If she is still sick despite seeing her veterinarian, then I suspect she will need a further work up. She may need blood and urine testing, fecal testing as well as x-rays of her belly. It sounds as Pixie is suffering from a gastrointestinal condition, possibly an infection. it could also be due to ingestion of a foreign body material. i would recommend taking him to the vet the first chance you get, he will need to be checked first, if the vet thinks it's a simple gastrointestinal infection he will need an anti vomiting injection, antibiotics and a special food for a few days in order to get better.

I would recommend having her re-examined and do further diagnostics like X-rays and blood work to determine why. If she is still eating and drinking and energetic, you could wait until Tuesday. Vomiting can occur from many conditions such as kidney disease, pancreatitis, gastroenteritis, dietary indiscretion, among other possibilities. I recommend that you have Peaches evaluated by your veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. This will likely require bloodwork and abdominal imaging in terms of diagnostics. Treatment would be based on findings. At the very least your veterinarian could start him on medications to make him feel better. If he is not eating much that can cause him to attempt to vomit but not bring anything up. The veterinarian may recommend doing further diagnostics such as bloodwork or xrays to figure out what is wrong with Winnie. Viral disease, toxin ingestion, GI blockage can all cause illness with vomiting, so Winnie really needs further diagnostics for the best chance at successful treatment. I think it is best to withhold food from now until tomorrow morning to give her stomach a rest. You can feed her tomorrow morning and that way you will have a few hours before the appointment to see if she is going to continue to vomit.
