My cat has a swollen lump on its paw. What should I do next?

It could be a swollen area due to infection but they would normally be red and sore. Skin tumours can occur in feet, some of these are benign cysts but some will be cancerous. It is impossible to know for sure without testing the lump. This one doesn't look particularly aggressive do you could monitor it for now and then seek veterinary help if it appears to be growing or changing.

This is most likely an infection, a parasite under the skin or a cancer. These conditions all need medical care. I recommend to have your kitty examined by the veterinarian for appropriate diagnosis and treatment. She will need antibiotics, the area cleaned, possibly pain medication, possibly antiparasitics and an elizabethan collar. The vet may also recommend additional treatment. Since he goes outside, he could also have an abscess/infection in his paw or he may have an injury. He should definitely be examined by a vet to determine the exact cause. He may need an antibiotic or an anti-inflammatory to treat. Your vet can also take an x-ray, if needed, to help diagnose. This lump/bump/growth should be ideally examined by your local vet to have a diagnosis established. There is a good chance she could have an abscess. It needs to be opened and drained and then put on antibiotics for the infection. They can also give her some pain medications to help. If it is not an abscess then they may recommend doing an X-ray and make sure she didn’t break something. So I would have her looked at by tour vet. Hope she feels better soon

It appears to be a mass- which could be completely benign (like a wart) or could be something of concern. I would recommend asking your vet to do either an aspiration or an impression smear to see if some cells can be sampled. This would allow you to know what kind of mass Moe has and whether they should pursue further treatment for it. I hope this helps!
