A street TNR cat that I take care of looks like it's straining to poop. Some watery stool comes out, but not a lot. I'ts been going on a few days. What should I do?

The first thing to do is get him in to see your vet to rule out any underlying medical condition that could be causing the loose stools, such as bacterial infection or parasites. If he is cleared medically, ask your vet about diet. Some cats have sensitive stomachs and they can benefit from some specialty diets your vet may carry. Some cats with chronic diarrhea do well on a commercial raw based diet, available at specialty pet stores.
