You can let them together now. Check the incision, it should look fairly healed by now. Make sure Mishka does not chase around a lot and also that the little one does not lick the incision. If they start wild chases, then it may be a better idea to wait another 2-3 days.

Yes, 2 weeks should be sufficient time for the surgery site to heal. You can also bathe Snowball now if you want. Just keep an eye on the incision to make sure it continues to heal well. Let her increase her activity level slowly over the next few days and she should do great.

She is still recovering from her spay only 2 days out from surgery. She really shouldn't be doing strenuous play activity until after she has completely healed from her surgery, which is around 10 days post surgery. So take it easy and allow her to heal for now, she will be back to her normal self in no time.

In general, it is advised to restrict a dog's activity by preventing running/jumping/rough play for 10-14 days after a spay surgery to help reduce the risk of surgical complications. Keep the surgical site clean and dry by preventing splashing in mud/ dirt/ water, and take Molly out (on a leash) for short potty breaks only. I hope that helps!

I would recommend keeping her confined for at least the first 72 hours but it may need to be longer depending on how energetic she is. Making sure she stays quiet and is not allowed to jump up and down on furniture is paramount for at least the first week after surgery. Keeping a cone on her so she doesn't get at her stitches is important too. I'd recommend keeping a cone on her until she gets her stitches out.

From the pictures, Chicles' incision looks great! Occasionally, a scab will linger over the incision until it falls off or is licked off, and this is quite normal. Since she is 13 days post-surgery, you can gradually allow her to increase her exercise level by being out of the single room for a few hours for a few days, before allowing her to return to her normal lifestyle. Hello and thank you for contacting Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. Your Billy should be able to get up and walk a few hours after the surgery. She may be slow and quiet on the day of the surgery, but on the following day she should be active and playful. You do not have to change her diet but you do need to put a head cone on her. She should not be allowed to go out until the wound is fully healed. Depending on the suturing technique, you may have to take her back to your vets in about 10 days time to remove the stitches.
