Why is my cat sneezing, hoarse, and not eating? Did she catch my cold?

Sunshine probably has an upper respiratory infection, or cold. As this is a viral infection It will run its course in a week or so. As long as she's just quiet and resting, eating a drinking some then you do not need to bring her in. If she should stop eating, the eye and nose discharge turns green and she becomes very lethargic then she may have a secondary bacterial infection that would need to be treated by your veterinarian. Sunshine is an older cat so if she's not recovering well then don't wait too long to bring her for an exam. Hello. You are describing Heidi with an upper respiratory infection. Most of these are viruses & generally run their course in 10-14 days. As long as Heidi is eating & drinking, she may not need to be on any medications. If you have never had her tested for feline leukemia & feline immunodeficiency virus ( & never vaccinated ), this might be something to request that your vet do this. This might change how she is or is not treated now & in the future. Just like with us, keeping her hydrated & eating are the best ways to deal with these infections. Sounds like Colby Jack could have an upper respiratory infection. Upper respiratory infections are most often caused by viruses, but occasionally secondary bacterial infections can develop so if he continues to have green discharge from his nose I would recommend seeing a veterinarian who may prescribe antibiotics. It is also common for the respiratory viruses to affect the eyes and cause conjunctivitis so watch for redness of the eyes or green/yellow discharge. The sore on his lip could potentially be related as well if it is at the lip junction but if it is on an area with hair it is probably unrelated.
