Why is my cat sneezing, drooling, and having trouble breathing?

I am sorry to hear about Luna. Since she is lethargic and has a decreased appetite, I would recommend she have an examination by her vet. Poor Neptune! He could be suffering from dental problems, a respiratory infection, or allergies. All of these could cause the sneezing and drooling. I would have Neptune seen by a vet tomorrow for a physical exam, blood tests, and urinalysis. With these tests, the vet can diagnose what is causing his sneezing and drooling, and can discuss treatment options with you. If, for example, he had dental problems, then he would benefit from a dental cleaning, scaling, and polishing.

Sneezing and drooling can be from many different things. It is not recommended that you give your cat any over the counter medications as most are toxic to cats. If his symptoms persist for longer than 24 hours then he should see a vet. It could be an upper respiratory infection or he may have a dental/tooth infection. He could have ingested or inhaled something toxic. I cannot say for sure.

Poor Maizey! I would be concerned that she has a dental problem causing the sneezing, nasal discharge, drooling, and chewing motions that you are seeing. A dental problem such as a broken tooth or a tooth root abscess could be the cause of this, and it would lead to her drinking less water due to pain. This looks to be a rodent ulcer (eosinophilic granuloma complex). She really needs to see a vet for this issue. This is not something you can treat with over the counter medications. Also, there are not many over the counter medications that are safe for cats. These lesions are treated, typically, with antibiotics and steroids. I'm sorry to hear that Princess isn't feeling well. Her sneezing, coughing, lethargy and drooling could all be due to an upper respiratory infection caused by either a virus and/or bacteria. Many cats are chronically infected with herpesvirus and/or calicivirus, which can shed from time to time and cause respiratory signs and secondary bacterial infections. Princess' vet will be able to examine her and determine if she needs antibiotics or other medications. I hope that she's feeling better soon!

Litter box issues can be extremely frustrating! If Luna is both urinating and defecating outside of her litter box, this is more likely a behavioral issue. If she is only urinating outside of the litter box, there is a chance that there is an underlying medical issue, such as a urinary tract infection or bladder stones. Sneezing can be due to a number of issues in cats, including simple irritation to the nasal passages from dust or pollens, nasopharyngeal polyps, upper respiratory infections, among others. I'm glad to hear that Luna has recently been to her vet and seemed to be healthy, but it may be worth going back to the vet for a urinalysis if this was not already done. This urine test will rule out a UTI and crystals in the urine. Your vet will also be able to determine if an upper respiratory infection is suspected. Once medical issues have been ruled out as a cause of Luna's litter box issues, consider several at home strategies. Add an extra litter box to the house, consider changing the litter type to one with less dust (Yesterday's News is one brand), add or remove a hood/cover to one of the litter boxes, and consider using a calming pheromone collar or diffuser (Feliway is one example).
