Is it normal for my cat to sneeze daily with fans and AC running?

Sneezing in cats can have a variety of causes, such as allergies or an underlying upper respiratory infection. As Annie is having nasal discharge now with her sneezing, I would recommend she be evaluated by her regular veterinarian, as she may have an infection or some other underlying condition that would need to be treated in order to resolve it. Allergens or irritants in the air that are inhaled perhaps during grooming (such as hair, grooming products, sprays, etc that become aerosolized can potentially cause sneezing for a day or so. If the sneezing is not accompanied by any other symptoms such as lethargy, decrease appetite, nasal discharge, vomiting, coughing, etc. then it may be due to the grooming and not too much to worry about.

Sneezing is common in cats and can be a sign of mild allergies. I wouldn't be too terribly concerned, unless you start seeing nasal discharge, decreased appetite, or wheezing. Let it run its course and if things don't improve or seem to worsen after about 3-4 days, then you should get Dale seen by your vet for some allergy medication and other treatments (i.e. antibiotics) if needed. Thank you for submitting your question regarding Oreo. While seasonal allergies can cause sneezing, a respiratory tract infection is more likely in my experience. I am glad that she is acting normal otherwise. If her sneezing persists though, she will need to see her veterinarian. She may require an antibiotic. There is no need to keep her separate from your other cats. If she is contagious, she has already exposed them. Monitor them for any similar signs. I hope this information helps!

This may be just an upper respiratory infection which can be viral and last a good two weeks. If B isn't eating or isn't acting right then I would recommend going back to the veterinarian. Hello, thank you for your question about Barney. I suspect that the increased sneezing you are noticing is secondary to the renovations and all the particles that are being kicked up into the air. Additionally, cats are extremely sensitive to stress and can develop a mild upper respiratory infection secondary to this. I would recommend continuing to monitor Barney at home. If the sneezing increases in frequency or he develops any other symptoms such as cloudy ocular/nasal discharge or coughing I would recommend having him evaluated by your veterinarian.
