Why is my cat sneezing constantly but otherwise acting normal?

I'd be concerned in that frequent sneezing isn't normal, and it can be a sign that Miss Press is sick. Given this has been going on for a week, I'd make a visit with the vet for a health check. It's not an emergency since she is eating and drinking normally, and otherwise behaving normally, but it would be good to get her checked out in the next few days. Best of luck, I hope this helps!

This may be allergies or an upper respiratory infection. If it is viral it can take about 2 weeks to resolve. I would recommend bringing Wolf into the bathroom when you shower to have the steam help with congestion. If Wolf is actually coughing I would recommend having a veterinarian listen to him and make sure it is not heart related or something like pneumonia. I'd be a bit worried about Pringels. I can give you some things you can do for him at home. First, you can try starting him on an L-lysine supplement - this is an amino acid that has been shown to help the immune system fight off respiratory infections more effectively. Enisyl and Viralys are both good brands, and can be purchased over the counter without a prescription - just follow the dosing instructions on the label based on your cat's weight. If he's congested, you can also try using a humidifier or bringing him into the bathroom with the door closed while you take a hot shower - the steam and humidity help to break up congestion and temporarily relieve symptoms associated with respiratory infections. If his symptoms get worse or continue, have him seen by a vet.

Hello. It is good that Echo is still eating & acting well. Most of these upper respiratory infections usually just need a week or so to run their course. I am not sure why your vet gave him a steroid injection for bad breath ( this was your cortisone ) unless he actually had lesions in his mouth. This might have exasperated his previous infection to continue into this. I would not recommend giving anymore cortisone while Echo is trying to recover from this infection. The sneezing in bothersome, but not really worrisome as long as he feels fine. See how he is come Monday, & at this point it might be appropriate to treat with either another round of antibiotics or an antiviral medication. Upper respiratory infection in cats is often a chronic disease, it can flare up for example because of stress or concurrent disease process. As long as Scooter is bright, has good appetite and does not have any breathing problems, you should monitor him at home. You should clean the discharge from the nose (and the eyes if necessary) with baby wipes. Offer him warm, tasty food as with runny nose cats can not smell very well. Typically, uncomplicated cat flu symptoms go away after 7-10 days However, if Scooter starts breathing heavily, goes off his food or the discharge from the nose turn green or yellow, you should take him to your local vets for an appointment.

Sunshine probably has an upper respiratory infection, or cold. As this is a viral infection It will run its course in a week or so. As long as she's just quiet and resting, eating a drinking some then you do not need to bring her in. If she should stop eating, the eye and nose discharge turns green and she becomes very lethargic then she may have a secondary bacterial infection that would need to be treated by your veterinarian. Sunshine is an older cat so if she's not recovering well then don't wait too long to bring her for an exam. Hunter may have a little virus. This can be common in young cats. I would make sure he is continually eating and drinking. If the sneezing or clear discharge gets worse then I would recommend bringing Hunter to the veterinarian so they can provide medication to help him feel better.
