My cat is very sick, thin, not eating, vomiting, and weak. What to do?

Hi! My cat is very sick right now. He’s very thin now and doesn’t have energy to stand up. Don’t want to eat anything; we gave him every fish but he refused. He always puke and just want to sleep. Is there anything we can do? Right now we just gave him water with dextrose powder by using syringe.

I hate to hear that about Gray. Unfortunately there are many things that could cause these clinical signs, just like with humans. Causes could include toxins, viral infections, organ damage, cancer or even an autoimmune condition. Since he is so sick, his best chance of recovery will be to go to the veterinarian for diagnostics to determine the underlying cause. That is the only way that you will know how to treat him appropriately. If you choose to continue to give him the dextrose and force-feed him, please be careful that he does not aspirate the contents as this will cause a pneumonia and will worsen the condition. If Theo hasn't eaten at all in two days and can't keep anything down, it is best to seek care from your vet or another vet ASAP as this can indicate more severe illness or underlying issue. Unfortunately, these signs are rather vague, and can be caused by a number of conditions including hair balls, intestinal parasites, inappropriate diet, and other more serious conditions such as certain cancers. I recommend having Mel seen by his vet to determine exactly what is going on. You can try feeding a bland diet at home, making sure he gets plenty of water, and grooming Mel to limit hair balls. My cat is throwing up daily, not eating, and very weak. Is it serious?

It sounds as Snoozy is suffering from a gastrointestinal condition, possibly an infection. it could also be due to ingestion of a foreign body material. i would recommend taking him to the vet the first chance you get, he will need to be checked first, if the vet thinks it's a simple gastrointestinal infection he will need an anti vomiting injection, antibiotics and a special food for a few days in order to get better.

Thank you for submitting your question regarding your cat. If possible, you need to seek veterinary care for him immediately. He appears very sick in your pictures and your description. He will likely need blood work and x-rays of his chest to determine why he is so sick. In the meantime, place karo or maple syrup on his gums. This will help if his blood sugar has dropped too low. It will give him a little energy. He will still need care though. I hope this information helps.

It's no bother at all, it's what we are here for :-) I'm sorry that Aan is so sick. He could have eating something rotten, he could have gotten into something toxic, or he could have a foreign body. Given that he looks very weak and is vomiting, I would take Aan into a vet immediately. He need medical attention now.

Smokey is a handsome boy, and I'm sorry he's sick! He could have eaten something rotten, could have a foreign body, may have pancreatitis, or could have a GI illness causing his symptoms. It's serious when a cat doesn't eat, as it predisposes them to a fatty liver which is fatal without treatment. Given he's been sick since Friday, he needs veterinary care now. Please take him into an ER vet clinic; if there isn't one in your area, there will be a vet on call for emergencies. The information to reach that vet is found on a clinic's answering machine or website. Best of luck.
