Why is my cat sick so often? Should I change her dry or wet food?

Hi there. Millie looks like a very cute kitten. If her symptoms started immediately after the change in diet it is likely it is from the diet change. You can try going back to her previous diet, give it a few days, and see if her symptoms improve. If you go back to her previous diet and she stops eating, becomes lethargic and/or continues having vomiting and diarrhea I would recommend to have her examined by her veterinarian. In an otherwise healthy cat that has chronic vomiting episodes, it sounds like Rigby may have a condition called inflammatory bowel disease. This is common in cats and is difficult to diagnose (requires an intestinal biopsy). I would ask the vet to consider this diagnosis and then they can prescribe the correct treatment for it to try and see if he has some improvement with his vomiting. She's adorable! I would be a little more concerned that she might have intestinal parasites or another disease causing her diarrhea. I would recommend seeing a veterinarian if you have not taken her in already. They can check a stool sample and she may be old enough for vaccines at this point. If there does not seem to be a medical issue you could try seeing how she does on just wet or just dry food - kittens sometimes do better on one vs. the other.

It sounds as Snow is suffering from a gastrointestinal condition, possibly an infection. it could also be due to ingestion of a foreign body material. i would recommend taking her to the vet the first chance you get, she will need to be checked first, if the vet thinks it's a simple gastrointestinal infection she will need an anti vomiting injection, antibiotics and a special food for a few days in order to get better.

You can try keeping him on a sensitive stomach food such as Iams limited ingredient, Fromm, or Purina sensitive stomach. However, it sounds like Keeko may have a inflammatory bowel disease and really the prescription diets have more reliable results.
