Hello, my 8 month old male cat shakes when he is sleeping or relaxing. Almost like a muscle spasm in his front and back legs. He went to the vet and they checked his limbs and said they were fine. Is there something more serious that they should be checking? Or is he just “dreaming”. I don’t know if I should be concerned. We’ve only had him for a month, he was signed over to the vets after being hit my a car but they said there was no bone damage or anything besides having surgery on his one paw

Hi there. I would recommend taking a video of what this looks like when he's sleeping, and showing it to your regular veterinarian. It may be a neurologic problem of some kind, or could simply be normal dreaming. Your veterinarian should be able to tell you if it's anything to worry about, and can recommend further testing to help diagnose the problem if needed.
