My cat is screaming, vomiting, panting, and pooping. Is this an emergency?

Poor Tickle! If she is unable to pee, this is a medical emergency. It could be she is suffering from a urinary tract obstruction. Typically this occurs most often in male cats, but it can happen in female cats and signs include an inability to pee, severe pain (which she showed by panting), and vomiting. She needs veterinary care, as if she does have a urinary blockage, it is fatal without treatment. Please take her into a vet immediately.

Vuk, your kitty needs to be taken to a veterinarian right away. This is an emergency. It is possible that lary was hit by a car, especially if there is fresh blood from the anus. Please find a veterinarian tonight, (even a large animal vet will help) to give fluids, take pain and give at least supportive treatment or euthanize your cat if she is very badly hurt. I'm so sorry that Thullo is injured. If he can't move this is a very serious injury and needs immediate veterinary medical treatment. Panting in a cat is also almost always an emergency indicating extreme pain or respiratory disease. I recommend you take Thullo to see a veterinarian immediately. Once a veterinarian assesses Thullo they can decide if X-rays or blood work is needed. They can also start pain medication and emergency supportive care. Unfortunately there is nothing you can do at home to help Thullo so it's best that you seek veterinary care right away.

Hello, sorry to hear about Lorna. Its unlikely to be an emergency but she may not be feeling like her normal self and may have an upset stomach. I would recommend having her evaluated by her veterinarian. If you note however that she is not eating, develops vomiting or lethargy then she should be evaluated sooner. It definitely sounds like he is sick, and I'm concerned about the vomiting, diarrhea, but most especially the panting. If he's back to normal for now, keep a close eye him. Should he start panting again, take him into an ER vet because panting is a sign of respiratory distress in cats. I can also give you home remedy for the vomiting. I recommend withholding food for 12-24 hours, then feed a bland diet of boiled white meat chicken (no bones) in small amounts several times a day for a couple of days. Then slowly add back in his normal diet. If the vomiting continues in the absence of food, he vomits the bland diet, has diarrhea on the bland diet, stops drinking water, starts vomiting water, or becomes very lethargic, he will need to see a vet right away. Lola sounds ill, and it's quite concerning that she is squatting constantly to pee with nothing coming out. That can be a sign of bladder stones, and if these bladder stones are blocking her urethra, it is a medical emergency. A blocked urethra can lead to the bladder rupture. She could also be suffering from a UTI. Panting is a sign of pain in dogs, so if Lola is panting, I would believe that she is in pain. Based on her symptoms, it would be best if she was seen by a vet immediately. I would take her into an ER vet or find a vet on call to see her now.

Those are very concerning signs - panting in a cat is always worrisome, because it normally indicates either difficulty breathing, or extreme pain or stress. I would be concerned about a serious problem such as an intestinal obstruction, liver or kidney failure, exposure to something toxic, or even a bladder obstruction - this is unfortunately a very common problem in neutered male cats, and can cause the symptoms you describe.
