My cat has a red spot on her belly. Is it a rash or something else?

I am not sure sure that is a rash necessarily. That sort of looks like blood beneath the skin, otherwise known as ecchymoses. Here's a link to what I am talking about:

Obviously it might look different in person, but I would definitely have that checked out by a veterinarian sometime very soon. If your cat is currently pretty stable, I don't think it absolutely needs to be this evening. However, if Scarlett could be actively bleeding elsewhere in the body there is the potential for an emergency visit being necessary. I would take a look at her gums and make sure they look pink and feel moist. Also make sure no blood seems to be appearing anywhere inside of the mouth.
