Around my cats eyes they are red and puffy and he has discharge. He also has small black crusties around his eyes. Could this be related to ear mites? He has been scratching his ears alot. Ive been cleaning his ears with some ear mite solution. But how do i fix his eyes?he looks like a zombie cat squinting around. He still runs around and plays despite the fact that he cant hardly see. Please help!!

I would agree that you are correct that it could be an infection. I would recommend tonight to flush his eyes with sterile saline in case he got something in there. If he is rubbing his eyes, make sure he wears an elizabethan collar to protect them from scratches. Keep your appointment tomorrow. Thank you for using Pet Coach!

Thank you for providing a picture, it really helps with my answer. It could be Biscuits (LOVE his name, and he's so cute!) has an eye infection or allergies causing the discharge. Yes, this definitely needs to be checked out by a vet, but until you can get him in, use a soft, damp cloth to wipe away any discharge. I hope this helps!
