My cats are still coming up with these red balls that scratch. I was with him at the vet, he did all sorts of injections, baths and skin and fur treatments, but the stains are all over again. I am very worried. What could it be?

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! It is hard to tell from the picture but it looks like he has a skin infection. I recommend taking him to a vet for a exam. He likely needs antibiotics and something to relieve the itch. Good luck and kisses to Patrick!

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! I am afraid that it is not possible to diagnose this just based on a picture. This usually will require an examination and basic diagnostics. I am suspicious that he has been biting at his tail and this is possibly due to allergies. I recommend that you have him evaluated by a veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. They would be able to diagnose his condition so that he can be started on therapy. Good luck!
