My cat is quiet, not eating, sleeping, and vibrating. Is she sick?

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! It sounds like Shadow is seriously ill and would benefit from seeing a veterinarian. There is really not much you can do at home at this point. It is hard to know exactly what is going on as her clinical symptoms are a bit non-specific. However, diseases such as pancreatitis or another inflammatory or cancerous process is possible. You could consider your local humane society as they usually offer inexpensive veterinary care. If Willow did not have her blood tested when she was in for her exam I would highly recommend having the vet pull a blood sample and check to see if she has any abnormal values. Kidney disease is something we quite commonly see in older cats and this certainly could be the cause of the vomiting / decreased appetite. The sooner her blood is tested the better and the faster you will know what is going on with her. I hope this helps guide you in the right direction. I suspect Cleo is not feeling well and may be nauseous. Just like people, there are many conditions that can make pets feel sick. This could range from bacterial over growth to intestinal blockage. Also like us, diseases are best addressed early and this may result in a better prognosis. You need to monitor Cleo closely. If she is not eating or drinking well for 24 hours, if there is vomiting/diarrhea/coughing or signs of pain, I recommend to have her examined by the veterinarian today. If the lethargy lasts for 24 hours, your kitty also needs to be examined. The doctor will need to learn the underlying cause in order to give appropriate treatment. Bring in a stool sample in case the doctor needs to test it. At home, Cleo should continue resting. Encourage eating and drinking. Bring her the food and water. Fluid intake is very important when pets and people don't feel good. You may try offering her some boiled white meat chicken or canned tuna (in water not oil). Hopefully this will pass quickly. This can be caused by weakness, fever, kidney disease, and other causes. It is a very vague sign that could be many many things. Shadow is a cutie. If he isn’t eating well for several days I strongly recommend a vet visit. Cats can stop eating whenever they don’t feel well which could be anything from a mild infection to a more serious disease. Since he has now started vomiting he may become dehydrated quickly. A veterinarian can perform a physical exam and then make recommendations on what other diagnostics or treatments they might recommend to help Shadow. I hope he’s better soon.
