My cat's paw cut reopened and she's limping. Is it an emergency?

Poor Nemo! If the cut appears superficial and is not bleeding and doesn't seem excessively painful, you could opt to monitor him for the next few days to see if it heals on its own. You can apply some Neosporin or other antibiotic ointment to the area as well if Nemo will let you - just distract him for a few minutes afterwards so he doesn't immediately lick it off. If he is still limping after 2-3 days, or if the area around the cut begins to look red or swollen, then I would recommend taking him to the vet to have it checked. He may need prescription antibiotics or other medication to help it heal properly.

Waiting until the morning would mean that she is in a lot of pain until then. If you get her seen right now, she can receive appropriate pain medication to help relieve this discomfort. This may be a fractured bone and not having any pain medications until the morning would mean that she is in extreme discomfort until then. Hi, in the first picture it looks like there could be a bit of infection as the fluid seems cloudy. Looking at the second one the skin lesion looks more like podo dermatitis, an inflammation of Jeff's pad. I think it is worthy to have hm checked over, in order to get some medications and help him towards a speedy recovery. If you don't take him to see your vet, his foot will continue to get worse and every time he puts his foot down to walk he will be in a lot of pain. I think your vet will not need to run tests but just give him some medications and therefore cost should be limited. Poor kitty. If there is an appreciable amount of swelling and if she is having a hard time walking on this foot, then she could have a fracture. The only way to confirm is with the an x-ray of her foot. I would recommend trying to clean it with Betadine diluted 50:50 with warm water to keep it from getting infected. I would not recommend applying any topical ointment on this open up my own court could make it worse. You can also do a cold compress on the area for 5-10 minutes to help reduce any swelling. Try to find a vet that is open on tomorrow for further care, which will likely involve flushing the wound, closure of this wound, and oral antibiotics +/- pet friendly anti-inflammatory/pain medication.

I would suggest having this wound looked at by your vet if you can so that Bobbi can receive antibiotics and receive proper treatment. However, if you are unable to get to your vet, you could try and keep the foot clean using a diluted Betadine solution (mix Betadine with saline to get a weak brown tea color) and use this to clean the Wound. I would then switch to a different litter such as yesterday's news so that he is not getting fine litter sand in the wound. I would monitor the area for signs of swelling and discharge as this is going to be highly prone to infection. If you notice any signs of infection I would get him to your vet as soon as possible. If it just started you can let her rest for a few days with minimal walking and minimal physical exercise, if it does not improve within 3-4 days you will have to take her to the vet in order to get it checked and treated, she might need pain killers for a few days. if the vet think it's something more serious such as a fracture, joint injury or foreign body, he might recommend to have an xray done as well.

You can switch out her litter to something such as Yesterday's News so that it is not painful to walk on. I would also apply a topical ointment such as Sentry wound cream (can be found at Petco) and apply twice daily for 3-5 days. This should heal fine on its own. If you begin to notice swelling of the foot or pus coming from the area, then I would take her in to be seen by a veterinarian so that the most appropriate diagnostic and treatment recommendations can be made.
