Why is my cat not jumping, pupils dilated, and uncomfortable?

Hello. This odd behavior does warrant a visit yo your veterinarian, especially if it happens again. This may be nothing, perhaps a sound or something she sensed outside that caused her to freeze, but we really can not rule anything else out, including some underlying condition with her heart or even a small seizure. Just watch her & if she remains normal, just mention this episode to your veterinarian at your next scheduled visit. If it does happen again, please see your vet. Hi there and thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach to address your concern. Based on your description and the photos you provided, I am very concerned about Joker. I would get her seen by an emergency veterinarian as soon as possible as she could have ingested a toxin and / or she could be in shock. The sooner she is seen the bettter. She may also be extremely dehydrated, which has led to her being in shock. If she is in shock, this needs to be addressed immediately. I hope Joker gets better! I would recommend a vet visit. If he was outdoors it's impossible to know what trauma may have occurred, or in an older cat hypertension or cardiovascular event is a potential worry with dilated eyes. To be safe I would recommend getting him to the vet today. In the case of head trauma or even hypertension the sooner treatment is instituted the better the long-term outcome. Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. I am sorry to hear Blackie is not feeling well. I recommend taking her to a vet to determine the source of her pain. She could have pulled a muscle or have an infection somewhere. Once the source of her discomfort is located, a vet can get her medications to help her feel better, including pain medications. Please do not give her anything over the counter until you speak with your veterinarian. Most medications over-the-counter are not safe for cats. Good luck and kisses to Blackie!

I am sorry to hear about Ariel! If you feel she is lethargic and not moving normally then I would recommend a visit to the veterinarian as soon as possible. You also want to watch her breathing closely as we worry about bruising of the lungs in trauma and this can take some time to appear. We also want to watch and be sure she is urinating and that a ruptured bladder is not a concern. Check her over for any bruising/swelling, check her mouth for broken teeth, check her eyes to be sure the pupils are the same size, press on her belly, and along her spine and legs to check for pain. If you are noticing anything abnormal, or if she is lethargic then seeing the vet sooner rather than later would be the safest course of action.

He may be having vision problems, high blood pressure or might have had a seizure. If his pupils are wide open, please take him to an out of hours or emergency veterinarian now. He may have high blood pressure and fast intervention can reverse any blindness caused by this. If his pupils are normal and react normally, take him to a vet tomorrow for an exam.
