Is cat milk safe for a wild baby rabbit that won't eat or drink?

I think the bunny looks fine. Just because it is smaller does not mean it is not healthy. You can add goat milk (regular, not low fat) to the kitten milk replacer and a pinch of acidophilus (aka Probiotic) to the formula to promote healthy gut flora. Formulas vary depending on region. Avoid Esbilac and any puppy formulas. FEED TWICE A DAY ONLY and let them have free choice alfalfa hay. At 3-6 weeks of age they should be eating about 13-15 cc/ml each feeding (two feedings a day) but it may be LESS depending on size of rabbit so they little one may only eat 8-12cc. That is OK. Lowfat cow's milk does not have the appropriate nutrition profile for baby mammals. I recommend kitten milk replacer. If you do not have access to kitten formula, you can make a homemade formula: 1/2 cup whole milk 1 egg yolk 1 drop pet multi-vitamin 3 crushed Tums (antacid) Mix in a blender and replace every 2-3 days. This homemade formula should only be used until a balanced pet formula can be obtained.

It would be helpful to know how old the rabbits are. Can you please post again with more information? Human powdered milk is not a good substitute for kitten milk replacer. I suggest you try to find the kitten milk from either another shop or order it online. Many vets have this on hand in their office so you could always call a local vet and ask to buy some. Feeding the incorrect nutrition can be deadly to baby rabbits. In a pinch you can use goat's milk but get them back on kitten milk as soon as you can. 1/2 Cup evaperated milk 1/2 Cup water 1 egg yolk 1 Tablespoon Corn syrup Kits should be fed every 6 hours for the first 2 weeks, then every eight hours the third week, and every 12 hours on the fourth week. After that the kits should be eating a good amount of solid food, and they should be drinking water. If they seem to be doing well on pelleted food, discontinue the formula. Otherwise, feed once a day until they are six weeks old, or until they to well on solid food. Feed a good quality grass hay starting at four weeks, and do not feed any moist foods such as fruits or veggies.

Hello, again. There is hardly any nutrition in your homemade formula, & the rabbit will starve to death if you do this. If the baby rabbit is still nursing, it needs milk until it can switch to a herbivore diet. Does are usually great mothers and will take excellent care of their babies. Keep in mind that baby bunnies can safely go 1 - 2 days before getting a full ‘meal.’ This is a protective mechanism since in the wild the doe might need to stay away from the nest for a while to avoid leading predators to her kits. Mother rabbits only ever feed their kits once a day, rarely twice, and that for just 5 to 10 minutes. In this short time frame, the kits get their whole day’s milk supply. So, if you never see the doe go near the nest box, but the little kits have round tummies, everything is fine. You don’t need to help nature along. The doe is doing her job while you’re in bed asleep. If you find that she is not feeding them at all after 2 days then refer to this link to an article on how to raise orphan bunnies.
