My old cat had yellow skin, liver failure. Did I give up too soon?

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male

I had to put my 18 year old cat down he had turned yellow they said it was his liver and they couldn't promise me he would get better I wish I had tried the tests they offered as I feel I gave up on him

I am so sorry you had to say goodbye to Bubble. Him turning yellow is a very clear sign that he had a problem with his liver, and it was likely serious at his age. Even if you had done the tests, there may not have been anything you could have done to help him. I know you wish you could have done the tests, but you did what was best for him. You allowed him to pass without further pain, and that's a wonderful gift to your cat. Again, I'm sorry for your loss.
