My cat fell and is limping slightly. Is it serious enough for a vet?

Updated on September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Shorthair | Male | neutered | 1 year and 5 months old | 10 lbs

My cat fell and cried out. He was limping significantly at first but is now only slightly. He doesn't get angry at me when I touch/prod at the leg. Should I be concerned?

Yes, if Darrow is still limping after a few days, I recommend to have him examined by the veterinarian. Continued limping can indicate a fracture or ligament tear. The veterinarian will get a better idea from a physical exam and may recommend radiographs. I hope this helps.
