Why is my cat constantly licking her paw, limping, and bleeding?

These look like bite wound abscesses that have blown out. More than likely Bella got in a fight with another cat. The wounds festered & abscessed out. You can clean them with a little peroxide, but she really needs to be on antibiotics. We do not always close these wounds with sutures, because they are usually pretty contaminated, but if severe enough, they may need to be. You can try placing an Elizabethean collar on her ( Cone of shame ) to keep her from licking the wounds. She is doing her best to help her wounds, but her sand paper tongue does not help with healing. You can find the collars at your nearest Petco. I am sorry to hear about Belle! I would recommend bringing her into the vet, as she is obviously painful. She could have torn a claw but there could be a remnant of the claw remaining that needs removal as this can cause pain if it is hanging on. We also worry about infection in these cases, so it is best to have your vet check her out so we can make sure she is as comfortable as can be!

It is hard to know exactly what is needed without an examination though this does sound severe enough that it warrants an evaluation by a veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. They would be able to check if further surgery is needed or possibly treat for a likely infection and most importantly start Selina on medications for pain as this is likely painful. Even though a picture would help to understand better the underlying cause, This presentation could be due to a trauma or localized spot of skin infection (likely to be caused by bacteria). A check up, appropriate disinfection and possibly antibiotics (oral, topical or in a shampoo formulation) are needed to solve the problem. Disinfection may be started at home with very diluted hibiscrub or betadine or salted water baths. Buster collar may be useful as well to avoid any licking. It sounds like there may be a foreign body in her paw which should be removed. Your kitty may have stepped into something. Thry to wrap him into a towel so he cannot bite you and check his paw carefully. If you can find something stuck in it you can carefully try to remove it. If he really fights you or screams or appears in a lot of pain you should take him to a pet ER for an exam and hopefully they can find the problem.

Hi, in the first picture it looks like there could be a bit of infection as the fluid seems cloudy. Looking at the second one the skin lesion looks more like podo dermatitis, an inflammation of Jeff's pad. I think it is worthy to have hm checked over, in order to get some medications and help him towards a speedy recovery. If you don't take him to see your vet, his foot will continue to get worse and every time he puts his foot down to walk he will be in a lot of pain. I think your vet will not need to run tests but just give him some medications and therefore cost should be limited. If it just started you can let her rest for a few days with minimal walking and minimal physical exercise, if it does not improve within 3-4 days you will have to take her to the vet in order to get it checked and treated, she might need pain killers for a few days. if the vet think it's something more serious such as a fracture, joint injury or foreign body, he might recommend to have an xray done as well.
