My cat's leg twists after splint removal. Is this normal for recovery?

Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Longhair | Male | neutered | 8 lbs

my cat broke his leg 6 weeks and 4 days ago 4 days ago the splint was taken off now hes kinda walking on it agin but when he steps with it he twists his knee out is this normal for him to do after the splint came off he started walking like this 1 week and 4 days ago with the split on

Unfortunately splints often fail to repair the fracture perfectly and many cats will remain with a slightly deformed leg, this could resolve with time but it could also stay this way for life, only time will tell. ideally you should take him to your vet in order to have an xray done and this way your vet will be able to see if it healed properly or not.
