Updated on September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | American Shorthair | Female | spayed | 10 lbs

My cat has ibs and puked. Now she is extra drooly and agitated also acting starved. She’s eating and eliminating normally and she’s on prednisone, famodidine and fortiflora. She’s on a hydrolized protine food.

Drooling is a common symptom of nausea and since your cat just vomited this is probably why she i drooling so much.

With IBS it is common to have occasional flare ups like this, especially if your cat ate something she should not have. She may do on after fasting for 12-24 hours or you may need to call your veterinarian and ask about some additional nausea medication, like Cerenia.

I hope this helps. Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. Best of luck.
