My cat is not keeping food in, constantly hungry, and does a bowel movement At least 4 times a day

I am very sorry to hear about Jag. These symptoms are definitely concerning. I am not sure if by saying he is not keeping "food in" this means he is vomiting, or if he is just eating alot but not putting on weight. We would be worried about a variety of problems including hyperthyroidism, diabetes, kidney disease, inflammatory bowel disease, GI lymphoma, and more. I would recommend getting Jag into the vet as soon as possible for an exam. After his physical they may recommend bloodwork, x-ray or ultrasound to help pinpoint hte cause of his symptoms and determine the best treatment for Jag.

Hello. I am sorry that Jagu isn't feeling well. If Jagu isn't growing well it could be that he has a condition in his gut or with his metabolic system. I would suggest you bring him to a vet and have bloodwork done to make sure Jagu doesn't have an underlying disease condition. Also deworming Jagu is a good idea as he could have worms making him not grow well. Flea products might be a good idea as well in case that is the cause of the poor hair coat. Good luck with Jagu.

The main suspicion would be hyperthyroidism, he is showing all the symptoms, you need to take him to the vet ASAP in order to have a blood test done that should confirm this, then your vet can start him on a treatment for this condition (fully treatable).

A few diseases that could cause an increased appetite with weight loss include intestinal parasites, diabetes, and hyperthyroidism. Your vet can examine Dahlia and her stool, and may recommend checking lab work if parasites seem unlikely. All of these diseases are very treatable, but it's important to get a diagnosis quickly.

Blood work and urine testing will likely be needed to reach a diagnosis. Hyperthyroidism and diabetes can both cause an increased appetite with weight loss. Unfortunately, there is not a good recommendation for at home care. I hope this information helps!

Why is my cat so skinny and not gaining weight even though he eats?

I would recommend having some blood work performed on your cat. Hyperthyroidism is a common disease in middle aged to older cats that causes an increase metabolism so cats are often very hungry but unable to gain weight. I would also recommend having your vet check a fecal sample to ensure that Koda does not have any intestinal parasites as this can cause weight loss as well. I hope this helps.
