Why is my cat suddenly hiding, drooling, and avoiding everyone?

I am sorry to hear about Blue. One thing we worry about in male cats exhibiting this behavior is a urinary blockage. It can make them lethargic, vomit, not eat, painful (drooling can be a sign of pain). If you aren't sure he is urinating normally or if you press on his lower belly and he is painful then we would be very concerned this could be his issue and this is a medical emergency and he should be seen right away.

Bob is a very handsome boy! From your pictures, he actually looks swollen to me under his jaw line, which could be his lymph nodes. These could be swollen due to an infection, such as a severe dental problem. That could also cause him to cough and sputter. It also isn't normal that his mouth is hanging open. Given that this has been going on for a couple of days and the appearance of the swelling of his jaw line, it would be best that he is seen by a vet as soon as possible. The vet can diagnose what is causing his symptoms so he can be treated. Please take him into a vet now.

Hello. I am concerned that Snowball may have some issues with the tissues deeper in his mouth. There is a condition called stomatitis, which can cause bleeding, inflammation & significant pain. Your cat will be reluctant to eat as it hurts to swallow. Poor guy. I would highly recommend taking him in to your vet for some bloodwork analysis. A cat that isn't eating is considered to be a serious thing, because cats are known to be masters at hiding illness, unless it is something serious going on. Drooling is a sign of nausea, which can be caused by just about every condition out there, so it is necessary to get some testing down to hopefully pinpoint the problem. I am not sure how deep the scrape on his nose is, but I would not consider it to be a factor in his current illness, especially if it is just a superficial wound that is not infected. If you cannot get him in right away you can try enticing him with some tuna and white rice or slightly warmed cans of baby food for now. But a vet visit is needed as soon as possible. He needs to be seen by a veterinarian. He looks like he really doesn't feel well from the photo. The red spots on the tongue could be ulcerations (due to a toxin ingestion or kidney disease for example) or they could be cancer (very common in cats). This is not something you can fix at home. Hi and thanks for your request. These signs could be due to severe gum inflammation and even infections, with abscesses building up on the dental roots (so sometimes not completely visible. These signs are quite concerning and another check up would be needed as antibiotics may be best given. Multiple dental extractions and cleaning are recommended in these cases.
