My cat has a blade of grass stuck in her nose, keeps sneezing. Help!

I suspect there is still some grass in there. The grass can get stuck farther up in the nasal passages and cause irritation/infections so it's best to have a veterinarian check him out to and get all of the grass out. It's not an emergency, but good to have an appointment within the next day. We can usually get it out fairly easily and quickly. I hope that helps and Ace gets better soon.

It may be due to allergies or she may have developed an upper respiratory infection which can take up to 2 weeks to fully resolve. She could have a grass seed stuck in her nose, or it may have been stuck and moved on but caused irritation. The nose is biggeer than you think so often the endoscope is needed to have a good look and temive anything stuck. I would make her a appointment at the vet as it will likely come to that. If discharge is clear it couldnt have been stuck long as usually foreign mayerial causes an infection. If you want to try something first yku could get a syringe of saline (boil kettle, let cool add a little salt) and gently flush her nose. Do it slowly so that she does not choke on the water, she will swallow it. She may not tolerate this and if not do not persist as you could hurt her. If she lets you this may dislodge what is stuck or give the cavity a good rinse. If this doesnt resolve the issue it is time for the vet.

The first thing you should do is to consider a covered litter box for your cat. Depending on Hercules’ size this will hopefully prevent him from accessing the litter box while still allowing your cat to use it. With regard to the littler in his nose, if you are unable to easily see and remove it, I would recommend taking him to the veterinarian who will be able to use a scope and alligator forceps to remove any chunks of litter as well as make recommendations regarding the sneezing and nasal discharge or possible inflammation in the nostrils. Sneezing in cats can have a variety of causes, such as allergies or an underlying upper respiratory infection. As Annie is having nasal discharge now with her sneezing, I would recommend she be evaluated by her regular veterinarian, as she may have an infection or some other underlying condition that would need to be treated in order to resolve it. Hairballs shouldn't cause this much trouble coming up, though I can't be certain why it was such an issue this time. However, based on your description of Persyk after the event, it sounds like she has some vomitus in her nasal passages. A small amount of liquid should resolve on it's own within a day or two, but if there was any solid material, it could have become trapped and would continue to cause the nasal pain, sneezing, running nose, etc. I would say that if she isn't back to normal in a day or so, she needs to be checked out by a vet. After physical examination, the vet may recommend sedation to flush the nasal passage and do a more thorough exam.
