My cat has cold or flu symptoms. When should I take them to the vet?
Hi ! If Frankie is not vaccinated, he could be suffering with Cat flu. If this is the case, there are no real medications for it but just supportive care. Make sure they are eating and drinking and that are kept indoors. Normally they get better within a week time. If cat flu is quite bad, and Frankie is not eating, is very depressed or just not improving, it is best to go to see a vet sooner rather than later as he might benefit from supportive care such as IV fluids, pain relief, appetite stimulants. If Frankie is vaccinated then best to see a vet sooner as it could be that he needs antibiotics.
I hope this makes sense and that Frankie gets better soon.
