It's very concerning that your cat is refusing to eat. When cats don't eat, they develop a fatty liver that is fatal without treatment. It could be he's really congested and can't smell his food, leading him to not eat. Try gently warming really smelly wet food such as sardine or fish based to see if he will eat. I'm sorry to hear about Chukka's problems. Sounds like the vet gave him quite a bit of medication. I am assuming that he also sent home some oral medication for you to continue administering for the upcoming days. Medications often take time to have a positive effect, so I would not assume they aren't working just yet. Unless matters are getting progressively worse, i would give the drugs some time to work before assuming the worst. If matters are looking worse, then you may want to consider returning to your vet for some diagnostic testing instead of just symptomatic treatment. This might include imaging modalities like x-ray and ultrasound, and some laboratory blood work to look at vital organ function. Hope this helps.

No, you need to bring him to the vet urgently, a cat that does not eat for more than 3 days starts developing a condition called fatty liver and this must be treated with iv fluids, anti emetic medications and other medications to support the liver, this is even before your vet finds and treats the original condition that caused him to stop eating in the first place. you must take him to the vet today otherwise he will not survive and you cannot treat this at home.

Chimpu needs to see a Vet for an exam, blood work and X-rays. Cats shouldn't go longer than 2 days with out eating as that can cause a secondary serious liver problem (fatty liver syndrome). Causes of a fever in cats are: viral or bacterial infections, feline infectious peritonitis, feline leukemia, pancreatitis, blockage from a foreign body and cancer. I do think this is serious since it has been 4 days. He should be hospitalized if possible until we find out the cause of his fever. I am not in full agreement that he won't survive, but I am worried he won't with out intervention. I wish you and Chimpu the best!

Poor little one, I would recommend that he has fluids intravenously and medications through the drip until he starts to eat.. then you can start oral medications. If he is dehydrated already, as time goes by without eating, he will be getting worse. Hope you can have him rechecked and that something a little more intensive can be done for him.
