If Lulu is at a good weight I wouldn't alter her feeding at this time. If she does start to gain weight then my first recommendation would be to cut out the wet food. Also keep in mind that the feeding guidelines listed almost pet food bags are based on animals that have not been spayed or neutered. So if she starts to gain weight decreasing the amount recommended by a fourth it's also a good idea.

Do not free feed, give him food twice a day at set times, and feed him according to the instructions on the can of food. No treats at all and no human food. If you aren't fond of math (like me!) a less precise method is to simply keep an eye on his weight and adjust the amount you feed accordingly. When you run your hands over his body, if the ribs can be felt with light pressure then he's a good weight. If you have to really feel around to tell where his ribs are, he could lose a little weight, and if the bones are felt with no pressure at all, he should get fed a little more.

I would recommend following the guideline on the can to start. Usually it is an overestimate of the required calories. If your cat seems to be losing or gaining weight you can then adjust how much food you are feeding. If your cat is on the thinner side you may want to start with more food and if your cat is overweight start on the lower end of the recommended amount of food.

If your cat is overweight, then you will want to feed less. Cats should only have a thin covering over the ribs. You should be able to feel individual ribs.
