Why are my cat's ears twitching constantly, even when sleeping?

It could be that Kitto has an ear infection or possibly an ear polyp that is causing him irritation, leading him to twitch his head. Without seeing him in person, I can't say for certain. I would give him vet a call today to make him an appointment if this behavior continues. The vet can diagnose what is causing the twitching, and can treat him for it. Best of luck.

Fleas or mites would still be at the top of my list. Unless there are a very large number of mites, you may not always see them by just looking. Collecting a sample of ear wax and looking under a microscope can help you find a few, but often ear mite treatment is still used even when there is only suspicion and no actual evidence of ear mites. Fleas don't live on a pet, they only jump on at meal times, so it is easy for a cat owner to miss them - especially since cats are very good at grooming them off before you can see! I would talk to your vet about a prescription topical flea and mite treatment called Revolution. Since Frida Katio (wonderful name, btw!) is indoor/outdoor that lives in Texas (parasites love this state, too!), she should be on a good preventative year round. Other potential causes for the scratching and twitching include bacterial or yeast ear infection (would need diagnosis by looking under a microscope), nasopharyngeal polyp (may need an exam under anesthesia or using and endoscope), or other allergies, like environmental or food.

I would definitely have his ears swabbed and have them look under the microscope for signs of an infection. Otherwise, this could be a sign of a neurological issue and he may need to see a specialist.

It could be either ear mites, bacterial infection, yeast infection or a foreign body in the ear canal. you will need to take Tigger to the vet in order to get it treated, usually a course of prescription ear drops will solve the problem within a few days.

These tremors could be a simple thing such as mild irritation to the skin in that area, or something much more concerning such as petit seizures or a symptom of a toxicity. An exam with a vet would really be necessary to determine what's causing Udel's tremors. It's definitely a good sign that she's still active, and if she's acting pretty normal and eating well then you can likely monitor her for a day or two - but if this continues then I recommend scheduling an exam with your vet. If you can, I recommend trying to capture a little video of the tremors, just in case she doesn't do them at the vet's office, so they can see what you're noticing at home. If your vet is providing curbside care, you could e-mail the video for them to see. In the meantime, if Udel starts acting sick, lethargic, unsteady on her feet, or shows any other concerning signs of progressing symptoms, then an ER visit may be necessary today as I'd be worried about a possible toxicity. This is completely normal. I would recommend bringing in a fecal sample in to the veterinarian so that the most appropriate deworming medication can be prescribed.
