My cat has an ear infection, sniffles, and sneezes. What should I do?

If you see some discharge in her nose, wipe it away. Ask your veterinarian if the medicine he gave you for the diarrhea is also working for an upper respiratory infection. If not, you may have to get antibiotics from him. You may have to bring Teena back to the vet if you find more problems. But you also have to give the medication time to work. Poor baby. He could be suffering from allergies or a upper respiratory infection (URI). He could also have an ear infection or ear mites. You can try Benadryl to see if that helps. See link below. If he isn’t improving, I would have your vet take a look at him. Your vet will be able to determine if there is any type of infection or mites in his ears and get him started on the proper ear meds. Thanks for the question. When we have pets with repeated ear infections we worry about underlying allergies. This may be food allergies or environmental allergies. Often until we get the underlying problem under control, the ear infections will continue to come back. So to answer your question, yes there could be more going on than just an ear infection. This kitten should be examined by a vet. He has an upper respiratory infection - may be viral, like herpes, or bacterial. The vet will prescribe some antibiotics and some topicals for the eye. This is not something you can fix at home.
