Is it safe to apply a different flea treatment within 4 weeks?

In severe outbreaks, 2 weeks between different drugs is ok. You will also need to use a household flea treatment in order to break the cycle, only 5% of the flea population are adults and actually present on pets, tge remaining 95% are eggs/large and will continue to hatch, develop and reinvest your pets. All in contact animals should be treated together and also given a tapeworm treatment because tapeworms are also transmitted by fleas

I would recommend to wait a couple of days before applying the new flea treatment. Give him a bath the same day you remove the collar, wait 48 hours and then apply the drops. I would not use any more fipribol containing products for at least a month at this stage. I would instead trying treating your hoke for fleas as fleas actually spend most of their life cycle off of animals and in your home. I would not use the Advantage so close to applying another treatment. Wait at least 3 weeks since previous treatment. It may still be killing the fleas on the cat, but if fleas are still in the environment, new ones are jumping onto the cats. I would recommend treating the environment to help get rid of fleas more effectively. It will take at least 4 months to get rid of fleas if you are treating ONLY the pets.
