My cat hasn't pooped in 2-3 days, when should I take her to the vet?

Baby Yoda needs to be examined by the veterinarian. Any pet not pooping for 2 days needs to be examined as they may need fluids, enema, stool softners....etc. Constipation can get worse quickly so it is much better to take care of it earlier. Have her examined today. I hope this helps.

A cat can go up to 48 hours without pooping, meaning anything past 48 hrs is a cause for concern, especially if you see your pet straining to defecate and nothing coming out. Ideally every pet should have a bowel movement daily, however there can be some slight variations here depending on the GI transit time and diet. I would monitor for signs of straining and also vomiting, lethargy or lack of appetite which means that kitty should be seen for constipation/obstipation. There are also medications and supplements available through your vet (i.e. Laxatone or Lactulose) that can help keep the GI track moving along if this becomes a chronic issue. Also fiber supplementation can be discussed with your vet.

Straining but failing to pass anything can indicate severe inflammation, swelling or obstruction and should be checked by your vet, a rectal exam and possibly xrays of the pelvis would be required to investigate fully. It is a good sign her appetite is returning but I recommend a check up to be sure

This is a medical emergency, and Daisy has to see a vet now. It's very serious when a cat won't eat, and if they don't eat going on 72 hours, they will develop a fatty liver which is fatal without treatment. She's probably not pooping because she isn't eating. I usually say if there's straining in the litterbox with little to no stool produced in 24 hours, or if there are 3 days with no stool (but no straining is seen) it's time to head to the vet. The fact that he is eating normally is a good thing since appetite tends to decrease with constipation. At any time if he seems painful it is best to go to the vet. You may want to check in with your vet and see what their criteria would be for when to head in - they know more about Bug's particular case and might make different recommendations.

I am not sure how many days she has gone without having a bowel movement. But if she is attempting to poop and straining, then she should see a vet immediately for an enema to help her go and then treatment for long term care. However, if she is not straining and it has been less than 3-4 days since she has pooped, give her time to adjust to whatever new things may be going on around her. Offer her food (Canned food is best @ this age or kitten formula if she has not transitioned yet) like normal and monitor her the next few days to see if she finally goes. Cats are notorious for holding their bowels when they are recently adopted, move, or there's a new introduction to the home. And finally, if you are seeing any other symptoms such as vomiting, decreased appetite, or straining, then Olly should be seen by your vet right away. I can certainly understand being concerned about Willow, as it's not normal that she hasn't had a bowel movement since Friday. I see you posted this question a day ago, and if she still hasn't had a bowel movement, I would take her into a vet right away. She may be suffering from constipation causing this, which the vet can diagnose and treat.
