My cat keeps getting pimple-like spots on his chin. What is it?

It looks like feline chin acne. If he eats from plastic bowls, switch them out for glass, steel or ceramic bowls. Some cats are allergic to plastic. You can clean his chin twice daily with a Stridex acne pad (NOT the kind with salicylic acid, but the kind with benzoyl peroxide), or you can use a cotton ball with regular hydrogen peroxide to clean his chin. I recommend applying flea prevention every 30 days. You can try to use glass feeding dishes that you clean often and avoid cat food with fish or beef in it. This could be a pustule which is a local bacterial infection or even a small cyst. If it is just one it may go away on its own. But if there are multiple, this one becomes larger or seems painful your cat may need medication from your veterinarian.
