This is an emergency, as your cat could be suffering from a riding thrombus, which is a blood clot that keeps blood flowing from the aorta into the femoral arteries. This is a very painful and life threatening condition. She could also have been a victim of a traffic accident hurting her spinal cord. I'm so sorry that this is happening to Lumous! It sounds like he needs immediate veterinary medical attention. I would take him to see your vet or an emergency vet right away. There are no safe treatments that you can try at home. What your describing could be a result of serious trauma, a neurological issue or toxin exposure. Poor Bady! She needs to see the veterinarian today as she is very sick. There are several different conditions that will look like this including diabetic ketoacidosis, cancer, stroke, hyperthyroidism, infection, severe kidney disease or electrolyte in balance. These conditions all require treatment and are best addressed early on for the best potential outcome. Hi. It sounds like she is very sick. With these signs, she needs to go to the ER right away. It sounds as if she has a neurologic condition that is progressing. They will do an exam, labwotk and imaging and that will help.guide us to the possible diagnosis. Good.luck

Being unable to walk is considered an emergency and can many causes, including a saddle thrombus (blood clot blocking supply to the hind legs), a neurological problem such as trauma to the spinal cord or a herniated disk in the spine, a stroke is possible but less common in animals, vestibular disease, brain lesions, electrolyte imbalances due to diabetes or kidney disease, musculoskeletal problems, and more.
