Pet's info: Cat | American Shorthair | Male | neutered | 10 lbs
My cat is one year old. He has had bloody stools several times a week since late November. He was initially diagnosed with giardia. We did several rounds of panacur and metronidazole. Our vet said the giardia was probably resolved after several tests came back negative, even though he was still having bloody stools. We have also been on a bland diet, however he still has the bloody stools a few times a week. He has had bloodwork done, been tested for t. feotus. Our vet is not sure what to do!

Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Poor Co!
Stool that is hard and sits in the colon for a while can have blood on it. If it was hard then you should contact your Vet to discuss medications to help soften the stool. If the stool was diarrhea then he may need antibiotics. If the blood persists get in touch with your Vet.
I hope this helps!
