My cat has a bloody nose and a red spot on her mouth. What's wrong?

It's also possible that he has a severe bacterial or fungal infection, a foreign body of some kind stuck in his nose, or even a nasal tumor. I would recommend taking him to the vet as soon as possible to have this checked - he/she can do a thorough oral exam under sedation if needed to help determine the problem and see what needs to be done to treat it.

If Mimi is still fighting a respiratory infection, the blood coming from the nose could be due to what we call rhinitis (inflammation of the sinuses / mucous membranes of the nose). This is common in unresolved upper respiratory infections. If you are only seeing a small amount and the blood is not profuse, you should be ok to wait until this week to have Mimi seen. If she is showing more blood and the amount if profuse, she needs to be seen immediately by a veterinarian so that the most appropriate diagnostic and treatment recommendations can be made. She is probably suffering from a chronic upper respiratory infection, you need to take her to the vet to get it checked and treated, a relatively long course of antibiotic will likely be needed to treat this condition.

That looks like it may be dried blood, or something such as an infection/fungus but it is hard to tell from the photo. If he is bleeding from his nose and in pain, I would seek emergency care right away.

This looks very sore! In some cats a viral infection such as herpes can be involved, so ampling and testing the area can be very helpful as antviral drugs can be very effective. An Ecollar in the meantime will prevent her from clawing at the area and doing further damage, you could apply manuka hney to the area but I would not recommend using any medicated ointments etc as she will lick and swallow them!
