Cherry seeds are known to contain cyanide, which can cause toxicity if enough are eaten and if the pit is broken when eaten. Cats normally would not chew the pit, so the poison would not be released in that case. Even if the pit was broken, this would not be enough to cause toxicity. She would have to have eaten five or more for it to cause a problem. The main concern with cyanide toxicity is a decrease in the ability for oxygen to get into the blood. If your cat happens (very unlikely) to show an increase in respiratory rate or forceful breathing, then a visit to the vet would be required. Cherry pits do contain trace amounts of cyanide, which is toxic to dogs - but normally, even a small dog like a Yorkie would have to eat a large number of them to cause a problem. All parts of the Chinaberry tree are considered to be toxic, so it's certainly possible that this could be the cause of your cat's symptoms. It's also possible that he may have some other, unrelated illness - many things can cause decreased appetite and vomiting, including liver or kidney disease, pancreatitis, an intestinal obstruction, or a GI infection of some kind.
