Hi and thank you for this question,
It sounds as if Mithu should be examined by a vet. One possibility is a viral disease called psittacine beak and feather disease. This can be diagnosed from a blood sample. There may off course be other causes, but diagnosing them would require a vet exam.

    Hi,
    The first thing to do (if not done already) would be to test Nimo for Psittacine beak and feather disease virus. If found positive then you have your answer. This is a viral disease that causes feather abnormalities in RN parakeets. Blood and/or feathers can be submitted through your vet for DNA testing for the virus.
