Can I get clostridium from my parrot's bubbly poop after antibiotics?

Usually the Clostridial species that causes clinical signs in humans is not the same one to cause clinical signs in birds. I'm not saying not to be careful but I don't think it is likely for your SO to transfer the bacteria to your birds and make them ill. Hand washing is absolutely the number one way to prevent transmission of disease. Be sure it is proper handwashing - signing Happy Birthday twice while rubbing the soap around your hands, then rinse. Also, as you stated, minimizing handling of the birds by your SO during this time. Sounds like you have it under control! Clostridial bacteria release a toxin. The toxin is what make them sick, not the bacteria itself. If the birds were to catch it, these are some symptoms to watch for: * rapid deterioration of health * loss of appetite * weight loss * listlessness * bloody feces * undigested food in feces Even after the bird is cured of bacterial infection, the toxin will remain in the bird’s body -- causing the symptoms to continue. The red color could definitely be due to colored pellets, The stool appears slightly loose, possibly a result of recent egg binding/retained shell, but also possible for a GI infection or other problem. A bubbly stool is often an indication of intestinal upset and could be caused by a bacterial infection, viral disease, metabolic disorder (liver, renal), pancreatic disease, other problems. Nitrofurazone is not a common oral medication to use on birds and needs to be used with caution. A veterinary visit is recommended to assess and provide a diagnostic/treatment plan. Clostridia is a type of bacteria that produces toxins that annoy the gut. About 30% of dogs who get diarrohea have clostridia isolated so it is relatively common. I wouldnt worry too much as it responds well to treatment. The bacteria is often found in decaying matter.

Without knowing what is causing the stool color change, I would be unable to recommend if an antibiotic is the right treatment or not as a patient-doctor relationship is required along with an in-person exam in order to prescribe medications. Liver disease, and even nutritional changes such as too many fruits or veggies can also cause stool color changes, in which case antibiotics would not help. Keeping Skye warm and eating a balanced diet may help, but ultimately he will need to be seen by a veterinarian in order to diagnose the issue so appropriate treatment can be given.
