Check his crop for delayed emptying or impaction. Either may affect his appetite. Continue to offer feedings and monitor his weight closely. If he begins to lose weight and is refusing food, have him examined by your veterinarian or an experienced avian vet to diagnose illness or injury.

It's possible that Sprite may not be feeling well. Birds are very good at hiding illness, so keeping an eye on him and watching for any other changes such as loss of appetite can alert you to the problem. Checking him over for injury or parasites may also alert you as to why he isn't as active or is losing feathers. Boredom can also be a cause for feather loss, as well as nutrient deficiencies so making sure he is on a balanced diet and has plenty of toys and other stimulation may help. If you suspect illness it is best to schedule a veterinary appointment and full exam to get him feeling better.
