In birds, weaning can begin around 10 weeks of age. Larger species take much longer to wean, as long as 6 months in some cases. When you see Muthu picking up things and exploring, then you can begin to offer "adult" foods. The pellets mentioned in an earlier answer can be soaked with warm water or a bit of juice to stimulate his appetite. At the same time, begin to decrease the amount of baby food and handfeedings if applicable. This can be a stressful period for chicks, so close monitoring is essential. Alexandrines typically wean between 12 and 16 weeks of age but some may wean earlier. Continue to offer Blue handfeeding formula but don't force him. If he won't eat from the spoon​, make sure he has a variety of foods and fresh water in his cage. Weigh him daily to make sure he's not losing weight. You can also make a mash of the handfeeding formula and leave that for him to eat.

If Chikuu is already weaned he should be just fine eating on his own and should always have a balanced diet offered in his cage for him to munch on. You can, however, continue to offer treats and other extras by hand to help bond together and interact together on a daily basis!
